About Dholera SIR Smart City

Dholera Smart City is India’s first IGBC Platinum-rated greenfield smart city, developed under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and planned entirely from scratch with future-ready infrastructure. Strategically located in Gujarat between Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar, the city is designed as a multi-modal transport hub with seamless connectivity by road, rail, air, and sea.

The Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway (109 km) is already operational, significantly reducing travel time, while the upcoming Dholera International Airport (Navgaon) is expected to become operational by March 2026. Dholera is also integrated with the DMIC and Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), targeted for full functionality by 2027–28, strengthening its logistics and industrial capabilities. Planned high-speed metro and monorail links will connect Dholera with Ahmedabad and GIFT City, and strong port connectivity to Bhavnagar, Mundra, Pipavav, and Kandla supports global trade.

Jointly developed by the Government of India and Government of Gujarat, Dholera offers structured growth, regulatory clarity, and long-term development confidence.
